The XC10 camera has a resolution of 1.4 megapixel. Highly efficient readout technology (Correlated Double Sampling) coupled with Peltier-cooling of the CCD chip results in images of superior signal-to-noise ratio, both in colour or monochrome mode. Highly sensitive CCD elements are capable of detecting even the faintest signals. The electronic shutter offers variable exposure times ranging from 0.1 miliseconds to 160 seconds.
Superior image quality, optional external trigger function and long integration times - these are just a few of the many properties this Peltier-cooled colour and b/w camera offers. The XC10 conceals 1.4 megapixel CCD chip. Every colour channel offers 14 bits. In the 2x binning mode the camera provides more than 15 frames per second. This makes the XC10 ideal for applications that require fast image acquisition. In addition, the high image frequency can be used to focus samples or locate areas of interest directly on the PC screen. The superior characteristics offered by this CCD chip in conjunction with the Peltier cooling ensure colour images rich in detail and contrast with extraordinarily low noise. The high speed ADC (Analog-Digital Converter) working at a clock rate of 24,5 MHz in full 14-bit dynamic range is able to perform double sampling even at a readout rate of 24.5 MHz. Various frame rates are supported by this camera. For example, the camera can be set to acquire at a high frame rate of more than 15 fps at TV resolution using 2x binning.
